There have been 51 different clubs to play in the Premier League since it began in 1992-93, but who is the top-scoring player for each of those sides? We look at the all-time top Premier League goalscorers for each club.

Ollie Watkins’ goal for Aston Villa against Newcastle United on 19 April saw him score his 74th Premier League goal for the club, taking him level with Gabby Agbonlahor as the top scorer in the competition for the Villans.

With Watkins looking to eventually hold the record outright for Villa, which other players have scored the most goals for each club to play in the Premier League?

Who is the Top Scorer for Each Club in Premier League History?

Below are the players to score the most goals for each of the 51 clubs to have played in the Premier League since it began in 1992.

Harry Kane is the only player to have scored at least 200 goals for a single club in the competition, with the England captain scoring 213 times for Spurs before he departed in 2023 for Bayern Munich.

Only 10 clubs have seen at least one player score 100 times for them in the Premier League, while Alan Shearer is the only player to have scored at least 100 goals for two clubs in the competition, netting 148 for Newcastle after previously scoring 112 in the competition at Blackburn.

Shearer is one of only two players to top the Premier League scoring charts for two separate clubs, alongside Chris Wood. The New Zealander extended his record at Nottingham Forest (33 goals) with a goal against Fulham on 15 February 2025, with the striker also leading the way for Burnley, with 49 goals in the competition for the Clarets.

Cardiff City have the lowest scoring top goalscorer in Premier League history with Jordon Mutch scoring seven goals for the Welsh club in the competition in 2013-14.

Arsenal – Thierry Henry (175)Aston Villa – Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ollie Watkins (74)Barnsley – Neil Redfearn (10)Birmingham City – Mikael Forssell (29)Blackburn Rovers – Alan Shearer (112)Blackpool – DJ Campbell (13)Bolton Wanderers – Kevin Davies (68)Bournemouth – Joshua King (48)Bradford City – Dean Windass (13)Brentford – Yoane Wissa (42)Brighton and Hove Albion – Danny Welbeck (32)Burnley – Chris Wood (49)Cardiff City – Jordon Mutch (7)Charlton Athletic – Jason Euell (34)Chelsea – Frank Lampard (147)Coventry City – Dion Dublin (61)Crystal Palace – Wilfried Zaha (68)Derby County – Dean Sturridge (32)Everton – Romelu Lukaku (68)Fulham – Clint Dempsey (50)Huddersfield Town – Steve Mounié (9)Hull City – Nikica Jelavic (12)Ipswich Town – Marcus Stewart (25)Leeds United – Mark Viduka (59)Leicester City – Jamie Vardy (143)Liverpool – Mohamed Salah (182)Luton Town – Carlton Morris (11)Manchester City – Sergio Agüero (184)Manchester United – Wayne Rooney (183)Middlesbrough – Hamilton Ricard (31)Newcastle United – Alan Shearer (148)Norwich City – Chris Sutton (33)Nottingham Forest – Chris Wood (33)Oldham Athletic – Graeme Sharp (16)Portsmouth – Yakubu (28)Queens Park Rangers – Les Ferdinand (60)Reading – Kevin Doyle (19)Sheffield United – Brian Deane (15)Sheffield Wednesday – Mark Bright (48)Southampton – Matthew Le Tissier (100)Stoke City – Peter Crouch (45)Sunderland – Kevin Phillips (61)Swansea City – Gylfi Sigurdsson (34)Swindon Town – Jan Åge Fjørtoft (12)Tottenham Hotspur – Harry Kane (213)Watford – Troy Deeney (47)West Bromwich Albion – Peter Odemwingie (30)West Ham United – Michail Antonio (68)Wigan Athletic – Hugo Rodallega (24)Wimbledon – Dean Holdsworth (58)Wolverhampton Wanderers – Raúl Jiménez (40)

Are Any Players Close to Breaking Club Records?

Yoane Wissa may currently have the crown as the top scorer for Brentford in the Premier League with his 42 goals, but teammate Bryan Mbeumo is only two away from that tally (40) and four more than previous record-holder Ivan Toney’s 36 goals for the club. There’s likely to be a tussle between the pair for the remainder of the season.

Romelu Lukaku holds the crown as Everton’s top Premier League scorer (68 goals), but Dominic Calvert-Lewin is now 11 away with 57 goals. That tally is equal to Tim Cahill’s at the club, but four off Duncan Ferguson’s total of 60.

For any normal striker, a deficit of 100 goals would be a ridiculous difference to overcome, but Erling Haaland isn’t normal. The Norwegian currently has 84 goals at Man City, and is already hunting down Sergio Agüero’s total of 184 at the club. A few more seasons and he might be close to the Argentine’s tally.

Michail Antonio leads the all-time West Ham rankings for Premier League goals (68), but with serious injury placing doubt on his future at the club, Jarrod Bowen could go on to overtake his tally. Bowen is currently 16 goals away (52) but has age on his side.
