How to get the most out of your trip to the 2025 Miami GP, from the best places to stay to buying tickets and getting to Hard Rock Stadium.

Formula 1 is returning to the Sunshine State for the fourth running of the Miami Grand Prix at the newly-built Miami International Autodrome. The circuit, which was constructed for the inaugural 2022 race, is set out around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team. The home of the Miami Grand Prix is located in Miami Gardens, 25km north of downtown Miami.

Formula 1 had been keen on staging a Grand Prix in Miami ever since Liberty Media’s takeover of the sport in 2017. Despite a number of roadblocks and obstacles, the race was finally confirmed to be joining the calendar in April 2021. It made its debut in May 2022. Max Verstappen won the first two editions of the race and Lando Noriss won the third edition of the race in 2024, his maiden F1 victory. The 2025 Miami Grand Prix is one of three races planned for the USA in 2025. The 2025 United States Grand Prix (October 17-19) and the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix (November 20-22) both take place later in the season.

Heading to Miami for the first time? All the essential travel information, including information on visas can be found here: Travel Basics – 2025 Miami Grand Prix

2025 Miami Grand Prix Tickets On Sale Now

Formula 1 enjoyed a significant increase in popularity in the USA during and after the pandemic, with Circuit of The Americas – host of the United States Grand Prix since 2012 – attracting weekend crowds of well over 400,000, seeing the events rank as some of the best-attended Formula 1 races on record. Attendance figures for the new races in Miami and Las Vegas have been promising, too, with Miami’s weekend figures having grown in each year since the event was first held.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix. For the best on-track action and overtakes, we recommend seats in the SB1-SB8 section of the affordable Beach grandstand. F1 Experiences Ticket Packages are also available, with 3-day grandstand seats or all-inclusive hospitality in the Champions Club or Formula 1 Paddock Club. Click the buttons below to check current availability & pricing.

Rising Attendances in Miami

The inaugural Miami Grand Prix in 2022 had a weekend attendance of over 240,000 and race day broke the record for the largest ever single day crowd at Hard Rock Stadium. Although it’s common for attendance figures to drop for the second year of an F1 event, that was not the case at the 2023 Miami Grand Prix, where weekend attendance rose by just under 30,000, to 270,000. Weekend attendance rose slightly again in 2024, to 275,000 fans.

Where to Stay

There’s no real reason to stay in the Miami Gardens area of the city where the Hard Rock Stadium is located. Staying in South Beach gets you beaches and nightlife, but a longer commute to the track (the almost 20 mile drive will take anywhere from 30-60 minutes each way on race weekend). Closer to the track to the immediate east, the beachside area of Aventura is recommended. Fort Lauderdale to the north is another good base for the Miami Grand Prix, with the roads in and out of the circuit noticeably less busy than those going south. Other areas of the city worth staying include downtown (especially Brickell, Winwood), and Little Havana. Due to safety concerns, staying in Little Haiti and the downtown neighbourhoods of Overtown and Liberty City is not recommended. Learn More: Where to Stay for the 2025 Miami Grand Prix

How Much Will I Spend on a Trip to the 2025 Miami Grand Prix?

Ticket prices for the Miami Grand Prix fell around 20% between the 2023 and 2024 editions of the race, but it remained the second most expensive race to attend on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar. For 2025, ticket prices have remained largely the same, though new ticket options are now being offered, including grandstand passes that let you sit in different grandstands on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

All three races in the United States rank among the top six most expensive to attend on the current F1 calendar, with Miami second – only the Las Vegas Grand Prix is more expensive. We estimate that the average fan will spend $2,230 USD on a trip to the 2025 Miami Grand Prix – including grandstand tickets, accommodation and spending money. For a full breakdown on what you can expected to spend, read this post: How Much Does it Cost to Attend the 2025 Miami Grand Prix?

Getting Around in Miami at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix

As the Hard Rock Stadium is an established sporting venue, the area was already well-connected by a number of transport links prior to the inaugural Miami Grand Prix. Public transport, shuttle services and taxi are all viable options to get to the Miami Grand Prix on each day of the race weekend. We recommend not driving yourself to the track, as parking spaces are limited and traffic congestion is inevitable. If you’re staying for longer than just the race weekend, the Metrorail and Metrobus services are a great way of getting around the city to see all that Miami has to offer.

The Second Sprint of the Season

After holding a Formula 1 sprint race for the first time in 2024, the new format, which includes an additional Sprint Qualifying session on Friday and a 30-minute Sprint race on Saturday, returns to the Miami Grand Prix in 2025. Learn more here.

The Porsche Carrera Cup North America is confirmed to be racing at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix and the all-female F1 Academy series will be on the support package for the second year in a row. Miami also holds a pre-race show featuring all 20 F1 drivers on the grid ahead of Sunday’s main Grand Prix.

Trackside at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix

After the inevitable first year teething issues at the 2022 Miami Grand Prix, race organisers have steadily improved the trackside experience with a range of changes designed to improve the show for ticket-holding fans. The changes included viewing access of the Formula 1 Paddock for fans with General Admission tickets, plus improvements to the hospitality offering. Capacity at the venue was further increased for 2024, to a maximum of 100,000 fans per day.

Like at the first three Miami Grand Prix weekends, the track will be divided into separate zones, each with their own entry points, food and drinks stalls, merchandise shops and other amenities. Check out the interactive map and head to our Trackside page for more information on how to extract the most from your visit to the 2025 Miami Grand Prix – including the full on-track schedule, list of prohibited items, track opening times and further information about the fan zones at Miami International Autodrome.

Away from the Track in Miami

While there’s plenty to look forward to on-track, there’s also lots to take in outside of the circuit. Miami is a vibrant, multicultural and immersive city. You’ll find some of the world’s finest beaches around Miami’s shorelines, an impressive array of arts on the city’s streets and a range of culinary and nightlife experiences which are not to be missed. Click here for our guide to the best things to see and do during your trip to Miami.

There are always plenty of special events taking place in the days leading up to the Miami Grand Prix and across the race weekend. F1 teams often organize pop-up events, and there’s a Racing Fan Festival, plus watch parties and other events. Miami is famed for its nightlife – including the 24/7 ‘Ultraclub’ E11EVEN, which has special acts performing during race week. Read our roundup of the top events happening across the city during race week.
