What’s up y’all?

Welcome back to the playlist.

It’s week 17 in fantasy basketball.

We’re coming out of the All-Star break, refreshed.

We’re only 3 weeks away from the start of the fantasy playoffs, so it’s time to lock in.

All right, unfortunately we lost one of the best players in fantasy basketball, Victor Webbbanyama, to a blood clot in his shoulder.

He’s gonna be missing the rest of the season.

Awful news for fantasy managers, but optimistically speaking, it sounds like the Spurs thinking that he can make a full recovery ahead of next year, so don’t dock him too much ahead of next season.

Victor Webuyama, prayers are up for you.

We hope you make a full and healthy recovery because we need you in fancy basketball, one of the best out there.

And then also.

The NBA announced that Bobby Porter is going to be suspended for 25 games.

He’s droppable in all leagues right now.

With the 25 game absence, he’s not gonna help you as you try to approach the playoffs, and he’s definitely not gonna help you in the playoffs.

So you can safely drop him.

And lastly, news dropped on Sunday that Joel and Bead is seeking alternative opinions on his troublesome left knee.

It continues to swell despite the rest and the load management treatment that he’s been getting all season.

This is very devastating news for fantasy managers.

Make sure that you have Gershon Yabuselli picked up in all leagues because he stands to benefit a lot if Joel and Beat is going to miss a significant amount of time, which is trending in that direction.

All right, let’s get to the 3 pickups you need to make in fancy basketball for week 17.

1st player I’m picking up is Moses Moody.

The Warriors have a really good schedule in week 17, playing on 3 of the lighter slate days so one transaction can get multiple.

Starts.

Jonathan Caminga is still a couple of games away from returning, and Moody’s been a top 65 player over the last two weeks, really helping fancy managers in threes as well as stocks.

So make sure you add him.

I’m also looking at Naji Marshall, the Dallas Mavericks, similar to the Warriors, they played on 3 of the lighter slate days, and Marshall’s really been hitting the glass well for the Dallas Mavericks, who are desperately needing something in the front court.

He’s averaging over 11 points with 8 rebounds.

Shooting 54% from the field over the last two weeks, so really like Naji Marshall this week.

Also, I’ll pick up Keldon Johnson because he’s been averaging over 18 points per game with Wemy off the floor this season.

He looks to be the biggest benefactor outside of the other starters for the Spurs with Wemy off the floor and his injury.

Lastly, I would pick up Donovan Clingan.

This is probably most likely a shallow league ad, but.

is basically Walker Kessler Light.

He can help you in rebounds and blocks, and with Robert Williams still out and DeAndre Ayan probably over a month away from returning if he’s even going to return at all, Don Mc Cleon needs to be rostered in all leagues, so make sure you pick him up.

All right, let’s get to the schedule things you need to know.

Week 17 is pretty good for streaming.

We have a few days that we could really hone in on to get some additional production this week.

I’d really be focusing in on Tuesday.

Thursday and Saturday, those are the lightest slate days.

Um, on Tuesday there’s 7 games.

Thursday there’s 5 games, and then Saturday there’s 6 games.

There are 4 teams that play on all of the best streaming days.

They are the Bucks, the Hornets, the Mavericks, and the Warriors.

So players like Max Christie, Buddy Hield, Kessler Edwards, Gary Trent Junior, Nick Smith Junior.

Dante X, Spencer Dinwitty, those are all guys that will have some really good value this week that could potentially one transaction can get you multiple starts.

That’s always something that can help you in fantasy.

So those are the teams I would really be focusing in on this week.

But then also, you can also look at some teams like the Blazers because they have a really good fantasy friendly schedule against the Jazz, the Wizards, and the Nets this week.

Um, you could also take a look at the Pelicans and the Suns who play 3 games in 4 nights from Tuesday to Friday.

So those are the only two teams that do that this week, um, but both teams also have favorable matchups this week against some really good opponents.

So someone like Royce O’Neal, Grayson Allen, are guys I wanna target.

But then also take a look at the Nets, you know, as they’re tanking and Cam Thomas still isn’t ready to come.

Trendon Woffford as well as Keon Johnson will have some standalone streaming value here as well.

No teams to really avoid here, um, of the teams with three games that I haven’t already mentioned this week.

I really do like the Magic who play on Tuesday and Thursday.

So Gogo Bataze, who’s 31% rostered as of Sunday night, is available, I would take a look at him.

Also Cole Anthony.

Get some additional streaming value as Jalen Suggs is still working his way back from his injury.

So as long as Suggs is out, Cole Anthony is a guy that you can be rostering.

In terms of the back to backs.

There’s a bunch of them, uh, Monday, Tuesday, you can look at the Hornets, so Mussa Diabate, definitely an option.

Tuesday, Wednesday has the Celtics, the Raptors, the Rockets, and the Spurs to end the week, we have Friday and Saturday with the Nets and the Pistons, and then also Saturday and Sunday we got the Spurs.

So it’s gonna be a good week for streaming.

Remember that the fancy basketball trade deadline.

is coming up on in week 18, so that’s one week away.

So this is a time where you’ll want to start prepping for that stretch run in fantasy basketball, whether you’re vying for a playoff spot or just trying to secure your buy.

Either way, try to bolster your team over these next two weeks.

It’s gonna be very critical for you.

So we’ll talk more about that in week 18.

See you next time.

Peace.
