The 2026 World Baseball Classic is slated to begin in less than a month, as Team Japan will look to repeat as champions and capture their world-best third title. Team USA, the winners of the 2017 title, are looking to get revenge on Shohei Ohtani & Co. after losing the first-place game 3-2 in 2023. The Dominican Republic is the only other squad to take home a title, winning it all in 2013 over Puerto Rico.
This year’s WBC features 20 teams from around the world, which are as follows:

They must finish with one of the top two team records from the five in their pool to advance to the quarterfinals. All of their pool games will take place at Daikin Park in Houston.
