Pat Murphy spoke to reporters (including Adam McCalvy, Jack Stern, and Curt Hogg) today and offered our first concrete update on Brandon Woodruff, among other things. It’s a bit of a bad news/good news situation. Here’s where we are at:
Another health-adjacent update: Murphy said that the Brewers “haven’t decided” between Quinn Priester and Jose Quintana as the game two starter. That Quintana is in consideration for a game two start not only confirms that he’s healthy, but it’s also a bit of a surprise; Quintana didn’t close the season very well. I still expect to see Priester in game two and some sort of bullpen game in game three, with Quintana involved alongside Chad Patrick and Jacob Misiorowski.
