Spectrum in Cincinnati to carry the Reds games in 2026

Earlier this week Altafiber in the greater Cincinnati area announced that they had come to an agreement with Major League Baseball and the Cincinnati Reds to carry the 2026 regular season games that weren’t subject to national exclusivity (the games that would be on AppleTV, ESPN, FOX, etc.). When the Reds announced they were leaving FanDuel Sports Network and would be producing and distributing their own games along with MLB through Reds.tv they noted that they expected that the local cable and satellite companies would continue to have the games on their lineup just as they had been when they were with FanDuel Sports Network, Bally Sports Ohio, and Fox Sports Ohio – it would just be on a different channel.

With the season less than a week away, though, Altafiber had been the only one to confirm that they were going to actually be carrying the games. That’s no longer the case it would seem. Spectrum in the greater Cincinnati area is now showing a channel being available as “MLB Cincinnati Reds” in their lineup on their website that is available on the “TV Select Plus” and “TV Platinum” levels. These are the same levels you needed in order to get FanDuel Sports Network last year. The channel number in the greater Cincinnati area is 1304. An emailer from this morning also confirmed this was on their Spectrum guide on channel 1304 in the Columbus, Ohio area.

This news likely covers a very large percentage of non-streaming users in the greater Cincinnati area. It does not cover satellite companies. Looking at Directv’s website and Dish Network’s website, there is nothing currently listed in their package of channels as it relates to the Reds.

For those in the Cincinnati Reds “TV Territory” (covering parts of Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, and North Carolina) you can go with Reds.tv for $99.99 for the entire season and that will get you 150+ games (you won’t get the previously mentioned “national exclusive” games that would be on ESPN/TBS/FOX/Etc.) with no blackout restrictions. If you are outside of the Reds “TV Territory” then you can just purchase MLB.tv and get the Reds games that way. To get a better idea on if you are in the Reds “TV Territory” there’s a map here that shows what all is included in that territory.
