A series win was far from reach after the Atlanta Braves were stunned in the Angels finale

So, this is how it ends?

Once again, the story writes itself, as this is the only constant that surrounds the team this season.

Although yes, the loss itself is disappointing, it’s how they lost that takes the cake.

One word for you: blanked.

The Atlanta Braves went eight scoreless in the 5-1 loss against the LA Angels, as their opponent took yesterday’s loss personally to nearly shut them out.

There was a homer from Jurickson Profar in the ninth inning, making that his second ever homer wearing a Braves’ uniform at Truist Park, but it was too late for redemption. The fate of the game was already sealed.

Only being able to gain three hits with no movement past first base through the first seven innings, the Braves made their bed early on, as the Angels set the tone, not just with offense, but their pitching was spot-on.

Remember when we were supposed to watch out for the slider and knuckle curve by José Soriano? Well, clearly the Braves didn’t get that memo.

He went seven scoreless innings and produced 13 whiffs with seven strikeouts to silence the home team.

And how did the Braves’ starter fare? Well, let’s just say there needs to be a long and hard look into what our farm system can produce in the next few weeks… along with what’s in the market for a boost.

Bryce Elder went five innings—-as most predicted he would, gave up eight hits, four runs, three walks and produced five strikeouts.

Now we look ahead. That’s the only thing we can do.

We face the Orioles and Spencer Strider will take the mound… along with an old friend to welcome back as an opponent.

Until then, we wait… but for how much longer is the question?
