Worried about the offense? Maybe not so much anymore, as a series against the Nationals is just what the doctor ordered. The Dodgers got up to double digits again and cruised to another win, this time 10-5.

======

Nationals starter Jake Irvin has been up and down in his career against the Dodgers, and thankfully today was a down day.

For the first time this year, the Dodgers started the scoring in the 1st, as Kyle Tucker singled, reached second on a pickoff error, Mookie Betts walked, and they both scored on a Freddie Freeman double to make it 2-0.

There was concern afterward as Mookie was removed for Miguel Rojas due to lower back pain.

Things got worse for Irvin in the 2nd, as Alex Freeland led off with a single, Shohei Ohtani singled to put a pair on, and Tucker walked to load things up with one down. After Miggy hit a sac fly in place of Betts to score a run, Freeman hit the first pitch again for a double to plate two more runners and push the lead to 5-0.

The offense continued to build momentum in the 3rd, as Andy Pages reached on an infield single and later stole second with two outs, then Alex Call stayed alive after having a strikeout reversed on an ABS challenge before blooping a single to left to make it 6-0.

Meanwhile, Tyler Glasnow was on the mound for the Dodgers and allowed just a double in his first two frames. In the 3rd, though, he gave up a one-out infield single and then a two-out triple to Luis Garcia Jr. to plate a run and make it 6-1.

The 4th saw the Nationals cut further into the deficit, as a one-out walk was followed by a steal, and then Curtis Mead doubled down the line to get a run home and make it 6-2 Dodgers.

Fortunately, Glasnow slammed the door from there. He struck out the next two batters to end the 4th, then got a clean 5th, and gave up just a two-out walk in the 6th to end his outing.

The line is honestly unflattering to Glasnow here, as he was basically in complete control: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 9 K, 101 Pitches.

Granted, Glasnow didn’t exactly have to worry about giving up a couple runs due to the offensive support. After a quiet 4th, the pen entered in the 5th started with back-to-back singles from Will Smith and Max Muncy, then Pages continued his onslaught with his third homer of the year to make it 9-2.

The bats started again in the 7th as a one-out double by Alex Call was cashed in by a two-out single from Kyle Tucker to make it double digits at 10-2.

That was all for the bats.

To close the game out for the Dodgers, the pen started with Tanner Scott, who gave up another two-strike hit to start the 7th. However, he rebounded with a pair of outs and then Miggy made a great play from his butt to end the inning.

Ben Casparius took over in the 8th, giving up a lead-off single and then getting two outs, but an 0-2 mistake to CJ Abrams was unsurprisingly yanked down the line for a homer to make it 10-4.

In the 9th, Edgardo Henriquez continued to not look sharp. He hit the lead-off batter, gave up a groundout that advanced the runner, and then gave up a single to score the runner and make it 10-5. He at least got a double play to end the game.

======

The Dodgers are now 6-2.

The series concludes tomorrow at an early time again at 7:35 AM HT/10:35 AM PT/1:35 PM ET. The Dodgers will go for a sweep behind Roki Sasaki against Foster Griffin.
