The Winter Meetings have arrived and they’re being held on home turf with decision makers from all 30 teams meeting up in Orlando for several day long baseball fest in which numerous trades and free agents are discussed that can signifcantly impact a franchise.
It was at the Winter Meetings in 1999 when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays made arguably the biggest moves of the week as they acquired Vinny Castilla and signed Greg Vaughn within hours of each other in transacations that would have likely broken the internet had it existed in its current form. In recent years, the Rays have signed the likes of Charlie Morton and Wilson Ramos at the meetings while also acquring Yandy Diaz, who has turned into one of the most prolific hitters in franchise history.
What will the Meetings bring about this go around?
