19 games to go, with two road trips and two home stands remaining in the 2025 season. Tonight, the Rays begin their second-to-last road trip. The first six games of this trip are being played on the South Side against the last-place Chicago White Sox, while the final six will be featured in Chicago’s North Side.

Kyle Teal started the game off in the bottom of the first, as the youngster hammered a well-located sinker and drove it to straightaway center. Kudos to Teal, who is having a fantastic rookie season and is cementing himself as a cornerstone piece of the White Sox’s future. After one, the Sox led 1-0.

The Rays answered right back as Junior crushed a 117 MPH double to the left-field wall, right before Josh Lowe hit his eleventh home run of the season. Josh Lowe has struggled for the majority of the season; however, over the past couple of weeks, he has hit the ground running. The second-inning scoring didn’t stop there, as Chandler Simpson came through with a two-out RBI single to score Feduccia. The Rays led 3-1 after two innings.

In the fourth, Richie Palacios caught a curveball and drove it to right field to extend the lead to 4-1. This was Richie’s first homer of the season after battling through several injuries.

In the sixth inning, the lead went away in a minute. The White Sox pulled Adrian Houser and then took advantage of Mason Montgomery’s poor command, tying the game at 4 in the blink of an eye. Again, White Sox rookies led the charge, as Colson Montgomery hit a clutch double.

One inning later, Tristan Gray immediately responded with a solo shot to right field. After the seventh-inning stretch, the Rays led the White Sox 5-4.

The Rays bullpen was able to hold on this time, and Pete Fairbanks finally shut the door as the Rays won 5-4. The Rays inch closer to the last wild card spot, but there are still plenty of teams in the mix. They will try to take the series tomorrow at 7:40 ET.
