Is Carson Williams here to stay?
It’s nearly UNANIMOUS! Wow! There’s no denying Williams has brought a shock to the Rays lineup, and through his plus defense has already looked on equal footing to the other veteran shortstops this year Taylor Walls and Ha-Seong Kim (both currently injured).
Can his strikeout rate survive at the major league level? Does that even matter in what could be a lost season? We shall see!
And speaking of this season’s results, we took a heat check on the Rays win outlook:
In this poll I asked whether the Rays will get anywhere from under 80 wins to over 90… and that last category didn’t get a single vote. Reasonable! But also sad.
The good news though is that 70% of respondents seem to have a positive enough outlook to believe the Rays will remain competitive through September.
