After having Thursday off, the Cincinnati Reds are back on the field this afternoon. They will play host to the San Francisco Giants at Goodyear Ballpark. First pitch for this game is scheduled for 3:05pm ET.

Hunter Greene named Opening Day starter

This afternoon the Cincinnati Reds named Hunter Greene as the opening day starter. It was likely an easy call and one that should be surprising to no one. Terry Francona also announced that they’ve decided four of the member of the rotation – Greene, Nick Martinez, Brady Singer, and Nick Lodolo. The final spot is still up in the air.

Chris Sabo to lead the Opening Day parade

It’s been a newsworthy day in Reds country today. This morning it was announced that former Cincinnati Reds third baseman Chris Sabo would lead the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade this year as the grand marshal. Former Nascar driver Michael Waltrip will serve as the honorary grand marshal.
