So basically it goes like this at the moment: the majority of the rotation is still on the mend and has multiple holes for now, the bullpen is also on the mend with more fodder occupying the front of it than you’d like, and the lineup is now basically both ice cold and increasingly injured.
The first two have been true for a while now, but the offense has sorta carried them through a rough stretch. That’s not happening anymore, and quite frankly these are the results I more expected to see with the pitching out. Unfortunately, while you hope the arrow is pointing up from here, it’s always hard to predict injuries, and long-term there’s definitely some red flag concerns with the offense.
Still, there’s not a ton more they can do at the moment other than hope they get healthy and play better.
They have Peralta and The Miz next, and it would honestly be a relief if it was just the Astros or something and not them just sucking, lol.
