The Dominican Summer League kicked off on Monday, with the DSL White Sox starting out the season strong with an 11-run outburst to secure the win. Leading the way was Carlos Vielma, who hit two triples and drove in 4 RBIs.
Elsewhere in Arizona, Orlando Suarez fought through some command issues, limiting the damage to just 1 run in 3.2 innings. The lineup couldn’t quite get going, however, despite a home run from Yordani Soto.
