It has been nearly four months since the Dodgers claimed their eighth World Series title by defeating the Yankees in five games. We all remember that fateful night.
After yet another busy and spendy offseason, the Dodgers are back to defend their crown. They’re hosting the Cubs at Camelback Ranch — a team they’ll be for-real playing in Tokyo in less than a month.

The Dodgers are running out a few projected regulars in Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Teoscar Hernandez and Hyeseong Kim, as well as giving Yoshinobu Yamamoto — the Game 1 starter in the Tokyo Series — the nod for the Spring Training opener.
Eric Stephen reported the pitchers to follow Yamamoto are:

Triple-A Oklahoma City is gonna be loaded, methinks.
Chad posted a roster projection earlier this week. Of the non-roster guys above, I’d say Gallegos has the best chance to break camp with the team, with Carlson being a sleeper. Miller and Wrobleski figure to headline the OKC Comets’ (new, awesome name) rotation. On the offensive side, David Bote and 2021 postseason nemesis Eddie Rosario are the most interesting non-prospects names, with top prospect Dalton Rushing being, perhaps, the most interesting name overall.
It’s good to have baseball back. It’s even better when the Dodgers are on top. Let’s see if they can become the first team in more than two decades to repeat as World Series champions.
