Anthony Edwards On Offseason Nobodys Going To Work Harder Than Me

Anthony Edwards said that he was focused on improving his game over the offseason after the Minnesota Timberwolves were eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games.

“I’m going to work my butt off this summer,” Edwards said on Wednesday. “Nobody’s going to work harder than me this summer. I’ll tell you that much.”

Edwards finished with 19 points in the Game 5 loss, shooting 7-for-18 from the field.

The Wolves were also outscored by 29 points in Edwards’ 39 minutes in the game.

“They were the better team. They came out and beat us, punched us in the face,” Edwards said, “and we lost the game, we lost the series.”

From March through the conference semifinals, the Wolves had a 25-6 record.

Edwards said that despite the loss to the Thunder, he considers it a successful campaign considering the team’s early season struggles.

“We thought it was going downhill,” he said. “We thought it was over for us at one point. It was looking real bad for us. … [And] we turned it around. We did pretty good this year, man. We just came up short again. Try to do it again next year.”
