Villanova, the No. 3 seed, will play in Thursday’s nightcap at 9:30 p.m., awaiting the winner of No. 6 seed DePaul and No. 11 seed Georgetown, which will take place at 9 p.m. on Thursday. UConn and Villanova would meet in Friday’s 8 p.m. semifinal on FS1 if they both advance.
On St. John’s side of the bracket, No. 4 seed Seton Hall and No. 5 seed Creighton will meet in the 2:30 p.m. quarterfinal on Thursday.
UConn, after letting a share of a record 12th Big East regular-season title slip through its hands against Marquette on Saturday, can salvage the conference season with a record ninth Big East Tournament crown. The Huskies last hoisted a trophy at Madison Square Garden as dual champions in 2023-24 before going on to win their second national title under coach Dan Hurley.
