The crossover between Deion Sanders and LeBron James shoes is finally primed to hit shelves. A whole year after The King wore his pair on-court, the Nike LeBron 21 “Prime 96” will see a public release on April 26th, 2025. Even casual sports fans need little overview as to what unifies Deion and LeBron nowadays. In addition to owning storied playing careers, both men have played public, hands-on roles fostering greatness in their kids; LeBron with Bronny and Deion with his sons Shedeur and Shilo.
LeBron’s “Prime 96” sneakers overhaul the Nike LeBron 21 with an upper inspired by Deion’s Nike Air DT Max 96; specifically the “White/Varsity Red” colorway last seen in 2018. Claw-like cutouts reveal a “Varsity Red” layer featuring fabric piping, while an added lace strap and custom midsole align further with the Deion Sanders shoe.
The Deion x LeBron crossover made its first appearance through a black and white “Prime Year” LeBron 21 for All-Star Weekend 2024, but that sneaker looks to remain a PE (for now). Looking ahead to May 2025, the LeBron 21 “Prime 93” takes inspiration from Deion’s original Diamond Turf signature model.
