With the All-Star lights shining bright on the city of Los Angeles in mid-February, Nike Basketball is positioning itself to dominate the weekend festivities with an unbeatable arsenal of must-have sneaker releases. Going heavy on Retro footwear once again, the Swoosh is bringing back Kobe Bryant’s Nike Zoom Huarache 2k4 “All-Star”, bridging past and present as the star-studded exhibition program returns to LA.
Official images of the upcoming February 2026 release have surfaced, revealing a true-to-the-original re-craft of the original 2004 pair. White leather uppers are paired with royal blue toe-guards and heel, while a full red dominates the midsole for that timeless Huarache 2k4 build. Nike’s even keeping the details consistent with the “2-15-2004” embroidery on the inner ankle (which commemorates the date of the 2004 All-Star Game), the “LA” logo on the upper angle, the royal blue shoe-bag with the same LA logo, and the custom shoe-box.
Sneaker News first reported the return of the LA All-Star Huarache 2k4 last June. The Zoom Huarache 2k4 is a performance basketball shoe that launched back in 2004 and was designed by Eric Avar. It was worn by many Nike athletes of the time, with Kobe Bryant regarded as the “face” of the silhouette. Several colors of the Huarache 2k4 are expected to return in 2026 and beyond; this LA All-Star version serves as its reintroduction to the market.
A firm release date hasn’t been announced yet, but all indications are pointing to a February 12th release, just before the 2026 All-Star Game on February 15th.
