The Reebok Engine A represents an important milestone for the brand as Reebok’s first new performance basketball model since the Allen Iverson era, marking the first chapter in a renewed push onto the hardwood that has since expanded with the debut of the inaugural Angel Reese signature shoe. To close out the year, the brand is introducing a dusky “Purple Fusion” colorway for the colder months.

The Engine A features a one piece molded synthetic upper, ERS cushioning for energy return, and Reebok’s SuperFloat foam for added shock absorption. The result is a true positionless design, which makes sense given Reebok’s intention for this to be the go-to model for its growing stable of hoops athletes. This “Purple Fusion” style keeps things dialed in while still looking sharp, built with a mostly monochrome exterior, white Reebok logos, and a brighter, more attention grabbing shade on the traction underfoot.
