In the aftermath of Braylon Mullins’ game-winning shot against Duke to send UConn into the Final Four for the third time in four years, Huskies coach Dan Hurley’s celebrated with his coaches and players and then seemed to have a face-to-face moment with an official.
Should he have been given a technical foul allowing the Blue Devils a chance to win the game? Put aside your fandom and answer the question honestly. What do you think?

Former Wisconsin basketball star Sam Dekker weighed in on the issue via X, saying:
“I have no bias here. This is a tech 10/10 times. For multiple reasons… it would have lost the game for his team and he would have tried to fight the officials like he did nothing wrong. I just don’t understand it at all. Also, referees need to grow a spine in instances like this.”
“I can’t imagine another coach not getting a technical here,” said The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman.
“Under no circumstances should behavior like this go unpenalized, regardless of the sport or game situation,” former NFL official Terry McAulay posted on X. “Not unexpected by this coach. Deeply disappointed the official didn’t do his job.”
