With Jordan Brand’s women’s footwear lineup at a high point thanks to the ongoing Heir series, the Jumpman has decided it’s high time to revisit the original. The Air Jordan Women’s OG, the first-ever women’s-exclusive basketball shoe from Jordan Brand, is back on release calendars for the first time since its last resurrection in 2020, now reappearing in a quintessential “Bred” colorway that does well to underscore its place in the brand’s history.
A relic of the early Team Jordan era in the late 1990s, the Jordan Women’s OG borrows key design cues from the Air Jordan 13, which debuted a year prior. Dimpled leather panels appear around the quarter and heel, followed by perforated and then smooth leather underneath. After spending more than two decades in the archives, Jordan Brand surprisingly brought this model back for a retro run in 2020, though it largely flew under the radar. This “Bred” edition keeps things classic, featuring a black upper, white midsole, and University Red accents on the outsole trim and Jumpman branding.
