Abel Mendoza’s unbeaten record is again being clouded by administrative inconsistencies after another professional bout failed to appear on the official register.

For Mendoza, it is the latest chapter in a problem he says has followed him for years, with fights completed in the ring still not reflected publicly afterward.

Another Win Missing From the Official Ledger

Mendoza, long unbeaten and still active, has seen his latest bout scratched from his record, renewing frustration over how his career is being documented.

The issue is not new. In 2022, Mendoza told World Boxing News that at least two earlier victories from that year had yet to be added to his official record, despite taking place in Mexico.

“I’m really 45-0,” Mendoza told WBN when he was 41-0. “I fought twice in Mexico that year, but those wins aren’t on my BoxRec yet. I’m trying to get them listed.

“They were good opponents, too — legit guys.”

A Pattern That Has Not Gone Away

Three years later, Mendoza remains stuck dealing with record inconsistencies as additional fights continue to fall through the cracks.

While delays and discrepancies are not uncommon for fighters competing on smaller shows or across borders, repeated omissions over multiple years create a different problem: opponents, matchmakers, and fans are left relying on an incomplete public record.

Why It Matters for an Active Fighter

According to World Boxing News’ own accounting, Mendoza is at least 46-0 after his latest Mexican contest.

That matters because official records often act as a fighter’s resume, particularly outside the major television ecosystem.

For an unbeaten fighter trying to secure the right opportunities, missing bouts can distort momentum and make matchmaking more difficult than it needs to be.

Next Fight Already Scheduled

Mendoza is scheduled to return on March 3, 2026, with a ten-round bout listed against a to-be-announced opponent at the Texas Troubadour Theatre in Nashville. Scheduled bouts are subject to change.

Despite the ongoing issues, Mendoza has continued to fight and remained focused on what happens inside the ropes.

Gratitude, Charity, and a Promise of Another Announcement

After his most recent outing, he said he was grateful to come through healthy and highlighted a charity effort tied to the event.

“I want to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for allowing me to walk away healthy after this fight. We were also able to raise funds for a charity out here in Mexico.

“Please stay tuned for my upcoming fight I will announce at the end of the week. Thanks, everyone who tuned in, and everyone who keeps supporting y’all are the real winners here!”

For now, Mendoza’s next date is on the calendar, even as the wider question remains unanswered: how many wins does it take before the paperwork catches up?
