Manny Pacquiao Says He ‘Can Fight Anybody’, Calls Out World Champion With 28 Knockouts

Manny Pacquiao could be on the verge of making a sensational return to boxing.

The 46-year-old from the Philippines has not fought since he was outpointed by former WBA world welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas four years ago, although ‘Pac-Man’ has been linked with a return to the sport ever since.

Pacquiao remains the only fighter in boxing history to win world titles in eight weight divisions, as well as the only fighter to hold a world title across four decades. He holds victories over a number of generational greats, including the likes of Juan Manuel Marquez, Oscar De La Hoya and Erik Morales to name a few.

After being away from the sport for a number of years to focus on his political career, ‘Pac-Man’ could now be on the brink of lacing the gloves up once again and facing a reigning world champion in his comeback fight.

In an interview with Seconds Out, Pacquiao backed himself to face all-comers, including unbeaten WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

“I can fight anybody, even like Gervonta Davis … I’m not scared of anybody.”

Davis was almost dethroned of his WBA crown when he faced Lamont Roach Jr in New York on March 1. The 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland underperformed against ‘The Reaper’ and the fight was declared a split decision draw after 12 competitive rounds.

A rematch between the pair is expected to take place during the summer, with both fighters reportedly keen on clashing for the second time in what could be one of the biggest fights of the year.
