According to Teamtalk, Real Madrid have been informed that Chelsea would be open to selling Enzo Fernandez this summer, for the right price. The Spanish giants believe they made a mistake when they did not pursue a deal for Martin Zubimendi before his transfer from Real Sociedad to Arsenal, and they’re prepared to rectify that mistake by going all in for the 25-year-old Chelsea midfielder.
Fernandez, who won the 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Copa America with Argentina, has been one of the first names on the teamsheet for any Chelsea boss since his record-breaking arrival from Benfica in 2023. This season, he has made a total of 31 appearances in all competitions for the London Blues, scoring eight goals and producing four assists. There is more than six years left on his contract, which means he won’t be cheap.
Apart from Real Madrid, Manchester City are believed to be watching Fernandez closely as well.
