Coaching Carousel Set to Spark Serie A Next Season | Football news at 1000Goals.com: Football Betting, Highlights, and More

An exciting coaching situation is set to excite the Italian Serie A next season, with several top clubs changing course again. AC Milan decided to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri, Antonio Conte staying at Napoli, while Gian Piero Gasperini opted to leave Atalanta for Roma, and that’s not all.

Milan, Roma, Atalanta, Lazio Changing Coaches

The upcoming 2025/26 season in Serie A is looking to be intriguing again after several top teams decided to change their coaches. The Rossoneri, who made two coaching changes last season, have decided to reunite with Max Allegri.

Although some question is raised due to Allegri’s more pragmatic tactic, it might be the best decision for Milan as they need to improve their defensive organization. The Rossoneri’s backline has been struggling in recent seasons, and getting the former Juventus boss could help them.

Another surprising coaching change arrived from Atalanta as Gian Piero Gasperini opted to leave and sign with AS Roma. Gasperini has been the key figure in La Dea’s rise in the last few seasons, but he is gearing up for a new challenge with the Giallorossi.

Gasperini’s departure could leave a big hole for Atalanta, as he was the one who set up their system and playing style. La Dea reportedly is targeting former Milan boss Stefano Pioli as their new tactician for next season.

As for Gasperini, joining Roma will be an intriguing challenge since the capital club hasn’t always been known for their patience with managers. The 67-year-old coach usually needs time to implement and get his system, even during his time at Atalanta, things don’t always go smoothly.

Another top Serie A team that will also change direction is Lazio, as Italian media suggest that they could reunite with Maurizio Sarri again. After failing to secure European football, the Biancocelesti opted to part ways with Marco Baroni, and Sarri is the main candidate.

It’s certainly an interesting decision since Lazio parted ways with the former Chelsea and Juve boss just recently, in March 2024. Acquiring him again means that the Biancolesti and Sarri have to compromise on the things that led to their separation.

Napoli Keeping Conte, Uncertainties at Inter and Juve

Meanwhile, the current Serie A champion, Napoli, has managed to convince and keep Antonio Conte amid previous reports suggesting that he could leave. The Partenopei’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, decided to improve Conte’s wages and promised a big transfer market to the coach.

One of De Laurentiis’ promises to Conte is the potential transfer of Kevin De Bruyne, who is leaving Manchester City on a free transfer. The latest reports believe that an agreement is close as De Bruyne seems keen on joining the Partenopei.

In other news, an uncertain situation is looming for Inter and Juventus regarding their coaching situation. The Nerazzurri might lose Simone Inzaghi, who is considering an offer from Saudi Arabia, while Igor Tudor’s future is not guaranteed at Juve.

Losing the Champions League final 5-0 to PSG is certainly a disappointing outcome for Inter, but even before that result, Inzaghi has reportedly considered a move. The tactician still hasn’t made a final decision, but there’s a strong indication that he is considering a new adventure after four years with the Nerazzurri.

In his latest press conference, Inzaghi didn’t confirm or deny rumors about his future; the tactician only revealed that there will be a discussion with Inter’s management soon. If the ex-Lazio boss does depart, the Nerazzurri reportedly will be eyeing a young coach to build their future.

As for Juve, their management only confirmed that Tudor will be with them for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament. However, there’s still talk that the Bianconeri will be looking at other coaches to lead them for next season.
