Khabib Nurmagomedov vows to beat up popular streamer IShowSpeed

IShowSpeed’s recent antics in the real world have gotten him a reputation in the mixed martial arts world, but he may have bitten off more than he could chew when he came face to face with Khabib Nurmagomedov earlier this week.

The YouTuber is seemingly on a never-ending number of side quests, which see him venture into everything from the world of combat sports to the streets of Shanghai, China, interacting with the residents. Now, the influencer, real name Darren Watkins, has managed to get himself into a situation not many men would like to be in, but it isn’t the first time he has been in hot water with a UFC fighter.

While featuring on the CBS broadcast for the UEFA Champions League final, IShowSpeed and Khabib Nurmagomedov shared what seemed to be a friendly exchange.

A potential fight between the two was the main portion of their discussion, with ‘Speed’ joking about his fighting ability, before Khabib gave him a stern warning.

“Could you beat me in a fight?” Speed asked Khabib. “My skill level is better.”

In response to the question, Khabib gave a playful answer.

“Maybe if this guy is gonna talk too much, maybe we’re going to fight tonight.”

“Be careful, brother. Now, we talk.”

Attracting the attention as he often does in front of a camera, the streamer insisted that he doesn’t back out of open challenges.

“Aye, Khabib. Aye, I never back down, man. I never back down.”

This time around, Khabib offered a more serious response.

“But be careful. Between us, there’s nobody right now. Because now you’re in my world, understand?”

All IShowSpeed could offer after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s comments was a timid nod of the head.

Despite not competing since his retirement back in 2020, Khabib is still one of the most feared fighters in the world.

His undefeated record inside the octagon is a feat unheard of at the pinnacle of the sport. His dominance in the cage will forever mark him down as one of the greatest to ever compete in MMA.
