Cristiano Ronaldo helped Portugal secure a ticket to the UEFA Nations League final after scoring his national team’s winning goal in their 2-1 win against Germany. Despite his age, Ronaldo continues to show that he can still contribute heavily to Selecao das Quinas’ success.

CR7 Scored Portugal’s Winner Against Germany

Both Portugal and Germany were keen on advancing into the final stage of the UEFA Nations League as they put on an attacking display since kick-off. Playing at home, Julian Nagelsmann’s men tried to take control of the match but struggled to handle the visitors’ intense display.

Nevertheless, the home team got in front through a controversial goal from Floria Wirtz early in the second half. Portugal didn’t back down as they pushed forward even more and managed to bounce back with a lovely equaliser from Francisco Conceicao.

The away team managed to maintain their momentum and eventually turned things around as Ronaldo netted home the winner on 68 minutes. Germany tried to get back on level terms, but they can’t seem to handle Portugal’s immense pressure.

In the end, Ronaldo’s winning goal was enough to secure a place in the Nations League final for Roberto Martinez’s side. Portugal will book a date with Spain in the final following La Roja’s thrilling 5-4 victory against France.
