Fans react after Salford City ‘agree a fee’ with Doncaster Rovers for Luke Molyneux, according to Pete O’Rourke.
The Ammies continued to bolster their side ahead of what will be their eighth season in the fourth tier.
It’s been quite the summer of change for the Ammies, reverting back to orange, a change of manager, incomings and outgoings, and the biggest news to date, their newest addition.
Luke Molyneux drops down a league, to boost Salford’s promotion hopes. Three weeks ago, Macaulay Langstaff signed from Millwall. Other additions include the likes of Elliot Bonds (from Fleetwood), Abraham Odoh (from Peterborough), Sam Long (from Bromley), Will Norris (turned down deal with Wycombe), Will Aimson (Wigan contract expired) and Joe Powell (Rotherham contract expired).

On the 23rd of July, Doncaster boss Grant McCann spoke on a rejected contract and rejected bid for Luke Molyneux.
McCann said: “We sat down as staff, and with Gavin (Baldwin), and I said, look, we need to tie these two down. Luke, unfortunately, has not wanted to get into negotiations. He’s rejected a deal, which is his prerogative, so that’s where he is.
“We’ve rejected a bid for Luke, so that’s in discussion the minute, this came after the offer of the contract – we offered the contract way before the bid. That’s where we are with Luke and we’ll see how that progresses.”
