Four Eredivisie stars who could move to bigger clubs this summer

The Netherlands is renowned for producing technically gifted footballers who have the ability to play at the highest level in Europe.

Top Eredivisie clubs such as Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord regularly develop young players before selling them on to bigger European clubs for a massive profit.

Sports bettors across the world would be well advised to track the latest batch of emerging stars as they formulate their wagers for the 2026/27 season.

For punters who take advantage of no deposit bonuses in Netherlands, those players could ultimately prove to be difference makers for their new clubs.

As evidenced by international stars such as Frenkie De Jong and Denzel Dumfries, Dutch players have the ability to be part of title winning teams in Europe’s top leagues.

With that in mind, read on as we look at five Eredivisie stars who could move elsewhere this summer, starting with an exciting midfield talent from Ajax.

Jorthy Mokio – Ajax

Jorthy Mokio has already made 55 appearances for Ajax, and his performances have attracted admiring glances from Arsenal and Manchester United.

He has settled into a role as a defensive midfielder, earning eye-catching comparisons with former Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

Mokia is composed under pressure, and has the ability to transition smoothly from defence to attack. He is also aggressive defensively, making him an ideal screen in front of the back four.

The midfielder, who recently committed his international future to DR Congo, looks destined to attract plenty of interest from elsewhere this summer.

Givairo Read – Feyenoord

Feyenoord star Givario Read is one of the most sought-after right-backs in Europe, and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards this summer.

He has bagged five goals and 11 assists in 54 appearances for Feyenoord, and has been widely tipped to become a regular starter for the Netherlands national team.

Read has previously been linked with Liverpool, although they are currently well-stocked at right-back with Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley.

Manchester City are in the market for a right-back and it would be no surprise if he ended up at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Kees Smit – AZ Alkmaar

Kees Smit is widely viewed as the best prospect in the Eredivisie following a series of hugely impressive performances for AZ Alkmaar.

He has been likened to Kevin De Bruyne, which is noteworthy praise when considering what he achieved during a trophy-laden spell with Man City.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have scouted the midfielder, while La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are monitoring his progress.

Newcastle United have also been touted as a potential destination for Smit and they could move for him if Sandro Tonali leaves the club this summer.

Mika Godts – Ajax

Ajax salvaged something from a hugely disappointing campaign by securing a place in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League via the play-offs.

Mika Godts was a standout performer in the Eredivisie, bagging 17 goals and 12 assists in 34 appearances. He also gained experience in the Champions League.

Godts recently received his first call-up to the Belgian national team, featuring in friendly fixtures against the United States and Mexico.

His rise to prominence has earned comparisons with former Chelsea and Belgium winger Eden Hazard, and it will only be a matter of time before he secures a move elsewhere.
