Liverpool are weighing up an ambitious summer move for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, as Arne Slot views him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah is one of the greatest players to ever grace the Premier League. He is a Liverpool legend, having netted 241 goals and supplied 110 assists in 389 matches in all competitions. The Egyptian superstar has also won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup (twice) during his time at Anfield so far.

Regardless of being 32, Salah has shown no signs of slowing down and is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 25 goals. He has also registered 17 assists, helping the Merseysiders dominate the league. His contributions have been absolutely pivotal that currently sees Arne Slot’s side enjoy a 13-point lead at the summit of the PL.

However, Salah is coming to the end of his contract at Liverpool. While contract negotiations continue, the African forward is likely to end his Anfield chapter with the club chiefs planning for his long-term successor.

Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz has reportedly emerged as an option for the Reds. It is said that the Premier League table-toppers are ready to bid €80million to secure the Juventus star’s services during the forthcoming transfer window.

This season, the Turkish international has scored six goals and provided four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. With his contract not expiring until 2029, Juventus will demand €100million to sell the teenage prodigy in the summer.

Kenan Yildiz eyed by Liverpool

While Salah plays on the right for Liverpool, Yildiz is a left-winger by trade but can also operate on the opposite flank. The Turkish youngster is also capable of playing as a second striker, as witnessed last season.

Known for his pace, dribbling skills, ball-carrying ability and thrust, the German-born winger will be a perfect player for Arne Slot’s side. Yildiz is also quick in transitions, can deliver tantalizing crosses in the box and has the ability to dance through defenders. Liverpool rely heavily on Luiz Diaz to do that consistently on the left-wing. Having an extra option of Yildiz will make the Reds’ attack irresistible.

Signing the Juventus prodigy will automatically elevate Liverpool’s attack. Whether Slot brings Yildiz in to replace Salah next season or as an option to compete with the likes of Diaz and Gakpo on the left flank will be interesting to watch.
