Liverpool’s attempt to sign Newcastle United’s star, Alexander Isak, looks to be fruitless as the player is not going anywhere. The Reds will now go for Hugo Ekitikite, who was also a target for the Magpies to land this summer.

Liverpool Made a Move for Newcastle Star, Aleksander Isak

As reported by many journalists, including transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have inquired about Newcastle’s star attacker. Liverpool is ready to offer up to 120 million pounds for signing Isak in this summer’s transfer window.

However, the Merseyside-based outfit’s attempt seems to be unsuccessful, as Eddie Howe’s team have been adamant in saying that their star forward, Isak, is not for sale, especially in this transfer window.

Although they could receive a massive fee, Newcastle have all the financial capabilities to keep the Sweden international at their club.

The Reds Also Bid for Newcastle Target, Eketike

Keen on adding a striker to their roster this summer, Isak is not the only name that Liverpool are targeting. Arne Slot’s time also has an alternative on sight as they set their sight on Newcastle’s target, Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Reds made a clear statement to the Magpies that if Isak is not available, they will also make a push for Ekitike. Despite the subtle message, it looks like Newcastle is not prepared to give Isak away and would prefer to move away from the Eintracht star forward.

According to the latest report, Liverpool has now sent their bid to the Bundesliga outfit, which was already rejected. However, the Reds will most likely try again, knowing that it looks like Newcastle is more inclined to keep Isak at the club.

Howe’s team seemingly decided to pursue other targets instead, knowing that their previous two offers had been rejected by the Bundesliga side. Liverpool look to be the main candidate to snatch Ekitike at the moment with no other teams are keen on meeting Eintracht’s high valuation.
