Here’s a look at some stats and minutiae following Week 9 of the 2026 National Women’s Soccer League season. We’ll keep evolving this space every week to try and keep you informed. Have an idea or an addition? Hit me @thedanlauletta on Bsky or X.

All statistics reference regular season games only except where noted.

PLAYER STATS

Mallory Swanson’s goal was her first since July 6, 2024 (last of a a streak of four straight with a goal). She missed all of 2025 on maternity leave.

Nicole Payne’s goal was her first since — ever! At least in the NWSL. She missed all of 2025 for ACL surgery.

Caroline DeLisle collected her first NWSL victory in her first NWSL start for the Dash on the weekend. She debuted Wednesday after Jane Campbell was injured, playing the last seven minutes and conceding a stoppage-time equalizer. Saturday against Angel City she surrendered only a penalty kick — that she darn-near saved — and this time became the beneficiary of a goal in added time.

Last week we highlighted Marta’s record-extending 15th straight penalty conversion. One of her closest persuers, Lo’eau LaBonta, saw her streak end at 10 when she had her take saved by Angelina Anderson on Wednesday night.

Seb Hines picked up a win for the Pride to edge clear of Juan Carlos Amorós in their battle for sixth all-time. The win was Hines’ 46th while Amorós’ Gotham side were in Concacaf during the week leaving him stuck on 45.

Kenza Dali is now the Wave record-holder for consecutive minutes played. She pushed Kristen McNabb off that perch Wednesday night, and took her streak to 2,963 minutes before being replaced in the 83rd minute on Sunday. Her streak of 38 straight starts is a club record and remains in tact. She is seven short of Christen Westphal’s Wave mark of 45 straight games played.

Katie Atkinson has now played 270 minutes for the Stars and allowed one goal — on a penalty. She has two wins and two shutouts. The other goalies — Alyssa Naeher and Halle Mackewicz — have a combined 720 minutes and given up 21 goals. They have one win and zero shutouts,

Claudia Dickey has now started 50 straight regular season games for the Reign, most ever got a goalkeeper. Lauren Barnes holds the overall Reign records for games played (60) and started (59).

Kate Del Fava remains minute-perfect for the Royals having played all 5,670 over 63 games since the team launched in 2024. Those are the longest streaks from the start of any expansion team.

DeLisle was one of four players to make their NWSL debuts last week. Jennie Immethun made her first appearance for the Thorns on Wednesday after signing out of UCLA; Maddie Prohaska took over for an injured Jordyn Bloomer in goal for Racing Louisville on Saturday; and Cameron Brooks debuted in the same game for the Courage. Brooks played at Texas and spent time in the Super League and in Italy before being transferred to North Carolina.

Kaleigh Kurtz has now played 124 consecutive regular season matches and 11,122 consecutive minutes. Both are  league records. The streaks began June 26, 2021 while playing for the Courage. (the unrounded number is due to a rain shortened match in 2023.)

TEAM STATS

The Royals are now unbeaten in nine straight, setting a club record and extending the longest run of wins/draws in the league this season.

The Current have now won nine consecutive home games to set an NWSL record. That streak was notably interrupted by their quarterfinal loss to Gotham in last year’s playoffs. Since CPKC Stadium opened in 2024, the Current are 25-1-5 in the regular season, 30-2-5 across all competitions.

The Stars run of play without a goal ended after 469 minutes when Mallory Swanson delivered against Bay FC. That is the longest the Stars have ever gone without scoring and it included four full games, also the most in their history.

The Reign were five games deep in being shutout which had tied the club record. A Sofia Huerta penalty in Boston snapped the streak Friday night. Before that goal the Reign broke the franchise record for minutes held off the scoreboard — 510.

The Washington Spirit are making a habit of being bridesmaids. They have finished second in the league each of the last two seasons and also been on the short end of the last two NWSL Championships. Last weekend they lost the Concacaf W Champions Cup final to Mexican side Club América. They Spirit are 1-5 all-time in finals.

The Thorns loss in Kansas City was their 100th across all competitions. That includes the regular season (82); playoffs (8); Summer Cup (1); Challenge Cup (7); Concacaf (2), and Fall Series (0). They are 8-8 in playoff games and north of .500 in all other comps.
