The Apex 1 and Apex 2 grandstands are amongst both the best and cheapest grandstands at the Hungaroring. Both grandstands are situated on a natural hill overlooking the final corner of the circuit. Apex 1 offers marginally better views here, as far as the starting grid and pit boxes, but both grandstands have excellent panoramic views. As well as the final turn (Turn 14), some seats in the Apex grandstands also offer views of Turns 12-13. For the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix, 3-day Apex 1 tickets were priced at only €270 EUR and sold out very quickly. (Apex 2 tickets are not yet on sale.)

Access to Apex 1-2 Grandstands

Seats in the Apex 1 and Apex 2 grandstands are located in the Blue zone at the Hungaroring, see spectator map below. Gate 6 is the closest entrance gate to the Apex 1-2 grandstands . You can also walk to the Apex 1-2 grandstands from Gate 8 in about 10 minutes or Gate 3 in about 20 minutes. The Apex 1-2 grandstands are approximately equidistant from both fan zones at the Hungaroring Grandstand. Concessions and toilets are located nearby, as well as in both fan zones.

Sectors A-D of the Apex 1 grandstand are entered at the highest point (row 21-25, depending on the section) from a path that runs behind the grandstand, while sectors E-K are set back from the path – a ticket check is conducted at the entrance and then these sections are entered via stairs. The Apex 2 grandstand is entered via a separate set-back gate with stairs up to each of the sectors (A-D). The stairs enter the grandstand about half way up (row 16 of 33).

Apex 1-2 Grandstand Seat Types

All of the Grid grandstands offer individual bucket seats with backs. Row numbers start from 1, lowest and closest to the track.

Apex 1 Grandstand

Previously called Silver 3,

Sectors A-B, C-D, E-F, G-H, J-K (two sections share each stairwell),

Rows 1-21 (Sectors A-B), Rows 1-25 (Sectors C-D), Rows 1-33 (Sectors E-F, G-H, J-K). In all cases, row 1 is lowest and closest to the track,

Seats in high row numbers are definitely preferred in the Apex 1 grandstand,

One large TV screen is located opposite the Apex 1 and Apex 2 grandstands. All sections in both grandstands have a good view of the large TV screen.

As previously stated, the Apex 1 grandstand offers arguably better views than the Apex 2 grandstand. Most seats here have excellent views of the final turn and pit entry, as well as down the start-finish straight. Most sectors also offer distant views of the cars on the straight between Turns 11-12. In our opinion, the best seats in this grandstand can be found in sectors A-B and C-D, but that doesn’t mean that the other sectors don’t also have good views! If you can get tickets, this grandstand is highly recommended for its affordable price and great views of the track.

Apex 2 Grandstand

Sectors A,B,C,D (each section has its own stairwell),

Rows 1-33 (all sectors) In all cases, row 1 is lowest and closest to the track,

Seats in high row numbers are definitely preferred in the Apex 2 grandstand,

One large TV screen is located opposite the Apex 1 and Apex 2 grandstands. All sections in both grandstands have a good view of the large TV screen.

The Apex 2 has less sectors than Apex 1, but has more rows. It also has less elevation than Apex 1. Provided you get a seat in the higher half of the grandstand (above row 16), you’ll have excellent views above the catch fencing, but almost at eye level with the cars as they take the final corner. Sectors A and B have better views of the cars entering the start-finish straight, whilst sectors C and D have better views of the cars exiting Turn 13. All sectors have really good views of the final turn. Due to less elevation, most seats in Apex 2 don’t have a view of the cars on the straight between Turns 11-12.
