Choosing where to stay is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your Formula 1 trip. And if budget is no constraint, there’s plenty of opportunities to stay in iconic hotels in the heart of the action. If you’ve ever dreamed of waking up to the sound of the engines, enjoying prime trackside views from your own balcony or sharing the breakfast buffet with F1 drivers, this list is for you.
Unsurprisingly, the best trackside hotels are mainly found at street circuits, though recently completed and planned developments have seen iconic permanent circuits such as Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps getting in on the action.
Of course, getting a room at any of these hotels on race weekend is not an easy task. F1 teams, sponsors and circuit officials normally get first choice. And if you do manage to find a room, prices can be astronomical. The good news is that these hotels are open year round, so there’s plenty of opportunities to soak up the trackside atmosphere without the eye-watering nightly rate.

Jeddah Corniche Circuit: Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
The fastest street circuit on the F1 calendar is situated next to the Red Sea in the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah. Completed in just seven months, Jeddah Corniche Circuit has been home to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix since 2021. The circuit is situated in the northern suburbs of the historic city, an area that’s been dynamically growing in the past few years.
The five-star Shangri La Jeddah opened in 2022, a month before the second edition of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. It offers 220 guest rooms and suites, and occupies part of the 65-storey Burj Assila tower, currently Jeddah’s tallest building. North-facing rooms in the Shangri La Jeddah offer excellent views of the circuit, particularly the final corner, Turn 27 (check out the view here). Standard rooms at the Shangri La Jeddah (Superior City View and Deluxe Sea View) are normally priced from $450-650 USD per night. Larger Horizon Suites & Apartments are priced from $1,200-2,000 per night. Expected to pay higher rates on race weekend.
At a more competitive price point, though still offering five stars, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah Corniche is also conveniently located next to the circuit. Overlooking Turns 1-3 at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the Radisson Blu offers 150 rooms and suites. Rooms are normally priced from $150-250 USD, depending on the room type and season.
The 2026 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was cancelled due to the outbreak of hostilities in the region. Race dates are not yet confirmed for 2027, though we expect the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be the second race of the season, potentially on March 19-21. Circuit de Monaco: Monaco Grand Prix
The tiny, ultra-rich principality of Monaco on the Côte d’Azur is home to the oldest street circuit on the calendar, as well as some of the highest-priced hotel rooms in the world! Even regular hotel rooms without a view of the circuit can command in excess of €5,000 per night on race weekend, and the sky is the limit for the small number of rooms with balconies facing the track. The good news is that prices fall to between €400-1200 per night if you are planning to visit Monaco on a non-race weekend. If money is no object, here are the best ‘rooms with a view’ at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Directly overlooking the legendary hairpin of the same name, the Fairmont Monte Carlo is home to Nobu restaurant and the Nikki Beach club. “Fairmont Hairpin Rooms” and “Hairpin Suites” have private balconies facing the hairpin.

Next up, the iconic Hotel De Paris Monte Carlo, which faces both Casino Square (Place du Casino) and the hill leading up from Sainte-Dévote. This iconic, palatial hotel puts you in the heart of the action on race weekend. Many rooms offer direct track views, including “Exclusive Rooms – Casino View” and the ultra-exclusive Princess Grace Suite and Prince Rainier III Suites, which offer large private terraces with panoramic views of the circuit.
Nearby, the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo is a historic, 5-star property with sweeping views of the harbor and the Circuit de Monaco, notably the Beau Rivage and Massenet corners at the start of the lap. Rooms with circuit views include “Exclusive Rooms – Sea & Port View” and “Duplex Suites with Terrace”,
The Hotel Metropole doesn’t command the same kind of iconic views as the hotels we’ve already mentioned, but this grand and historic 5-star hotel does sit trackside and some rooms have a direct view of the iconic Mirabeau right-hander before the hairpin. “Prestige Suites” and the famous “Suite Carré d’Or” have large terraces with views of Mirabeau, as well as up the hill to the exit of Casino Square.
The only modern hotel on our list is the 4-star Port Palace Hotel, which faces the Marina. The Port Palace is situated close to the Nouvelle Chicane, and also offers more distant views of the tunnel exit and the run down to the Tabac corner – though some views are obscured by trees. Whilst almost all of the rooms face out over the iconic Port Hercule, the rooms with the best track views are the “Deluxe Room – Harbor View” and “Executive Suites” on the upper floors.
An honorable mention goes to the 3-star Boutique Hotel Miramar – Monte Carlo, not far from the Port Palace hotel, which sits directly between two sections of the circuit overlooking the harbor and the Tabac corner. The rooms with the best views of the track are the “Harbor View Superior” rooms on higher floors. Be aware that as with the Port Palace, track views are compromised by trees.
Dates are not yet confirmed for the 2027 Monaco Grand Prix, though the race is expected to be held once again on the first weekend in June (3-6). Click the button below to read about all the best places to stay on race weekend, including Nice and, our favourite, Menton.
Red Bull Ring: Austrian Grand Prix
Located in the foothills of the Styrian mountains, the Red Bull Ring is one of the most picturesque – and isolated – circuits on the current F1 calendar. The circuit’s rural location is one reason why trackside camping remains so popular.
But for proximity and luxury, you can’t go past the TAUROA Schönberghof Spielberg, which sits high on the hill overlooking the Red Bull Ring and has recently reopened after extensive renovations. Now offering 49 rooms, many of which offer balconies with direct views of the racetrack, TAUROA Schönberghof Spielberg also boasts a rooftop lounge with a panoramic terrace.
Rooms are likely to be fully booked on Austrian Grand Prix race weekend, but at other times of the year you can stay at this hotel for €200-300 per night. The Red Bull Ring is a year-round destination that offers track days, guided tours of the circuit and off-road adventures, not to mention other racing series such as MotoGP, DTM and more.
The 2026 Austrian Grand Prix takes place from June 26-28. Click the button below to read about all of the best places to stay near the Red Bull Ring.

Silverstone: British Grand Prix
The home of the British Grand Prix has been the subject of significant investment in the past few years. The Silverstone Hilton Garden Inn opened in summer 2022 as the first trackside hotel on the calendar to be built on the start-finish straight, opposite the pit building and starting grid. Featuring 197 rooms, the Silverstone Hilton Garden Inn has a rooftop terrace, trackside restaurant, and suites with balconies overlooking the starting grid on Hamilton Straight. What’s it like to stay there on race weekend? Read Robin’s review.
A second trackside hotel and residences were added in 2025. Escapade Silverstone is situated on the opposite side of the circuit, stretching 550 metres from the exit of Copse Corner (Turn 9) to the entrance of the high-speed Maggots and Becketts complex. Escapade Silverstone features 184 ensuite bedrooms spread across 60 private trackside and countryside apartments, many of which are available for rent on major race weekends.
Not strictly trackside, but close to it, Whittlebury Park has long been a preferred place to stay for teams, media and VIPs on British Grand Prix weekend. Situated less than 300 meters from Copse Corner, the Whittlebury Park estates features a 4-star hotel with 254 bedrooms, luxury spa and 36-hole golf course.
Speaking of Whittlebury Park, it’s also home to one of the largest campsites at the British Grand Prix. For fans on a budget, trackside camping offers a lively and social atmosphere, and the convenience of not having to worry about driving or taking public transport to and from the track each day. An increasing number of ‘premium’ camping and glamping options are now available at Silverstone (some at eye-wateringly expensive prices), including The Pop-Up Hotel.
The 2026 British Grand Prix is scheduled from July 2-5. For more advice about where to stay close to Silverstone, click the button below.

Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: Belgian Grand Prix
Currently, the closest trackside hotel to the historic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is the modern 4-star Hotel De La Source, which is located only a few hundred meters up the hill from the opening corner, La Source. The hotel is popular amongst the F1 teams, and if you are lucky to secure a room on race weekend, you’ll be sure to run into a driver or two.
This will soon change, however, as the same British company responsible for the Escapade Silverstone development is building a hotel and residences at the home of the Belgian Grand Prix. Escapade Spa Francorchamps, representing an investment of €30m and set to open in 2028, will comprise a 68-bedroom hotel on the inside of the iconic Eau Rouge corner and six residences with a combined 23 rooms overlooking the opening corner, La Source.
The 2026 Belgian Grand Prix is scheduled on July 17-19. Please note that the race organizers have entered into a rotational contract and the race will not be held in 2028, 2030 and 2032. For more advice about the best places to stay near Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, click the button below.
Baku City Circuit: Azerbaijan Grand Prix
A favourite destination among F1 insiders since joining the calendar ten years ago, Baku City Circuit carves through the streets of the Azerbaijani capital, passing both modern skyscrapers and through the ancient Old Town, which dates back over 1,000 years!
There’s no shortage of both international chain and local hotels that offer both track-view rooms and easy access to spectator areas, though two caveats are worth mentioning. We don’t recommend booking apartments offering track views, even via major booking portals, as there have been lots of horror stories involving F1 fans being scammed. It’s better to stick to hotels. The other caveat, especially concerning hotels in the Old Town, is to check access on race weekend. Road closures can severely limit access to some properties, and make getting around very challenging.

Having said that, there are some incredible hotels with both track views and easy access to the pits, paddock, fan zone and popular grandstands on the start-finish straight. The best, and likely most expensive and difficult to procure rooms at, are the JW Marriott Absheron and the Hilton Baku, which sit at opposite ends of the F1 Paddock. Most of the teams stay at one of these hotels as well, so you’ll be rubbing shoulders with drivers and team bosses! Many more trackside hotel options can be found in our guide, linked below.
And if your budget doesn’t stretch to staying at the JW Marriott or Hilton, both hotels have restaurants and bars that are open to the general public on race weekend, though bookings may be required. The views from the bar and restaurant on the rooftop of the Hilton are spectacular!
The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled from September 24-26 (Thursday to Saturday). Click the button below to read about all the best places to stay for the race in Baku, including more hotels with trackside-view rooms.

Marina Bay Street Circuit: Singapore Grand Prix
‘Rooms with a view’ hotel options get even better at the next race in the south-east Asian city state of Singapore. The original ‘Formula 1 night race’ has been serving up exciting racing under lights since 2009, and there’s several exceptional hotels with both trackside views and easy access to the best hospitality suites at Marina Bay Street Circuit. None of them come cheap on race weekend, however.
The best 5-star options, Ritz Carlton Millenia and Mandarin Oriental, are also closest to the F1 Paddock and the most popular with F1 teams on race weekend, though neither have rooms with balconies. Other high-end hotels with track views include the Pan Pacific Singapore (Turns 2-5), Fairmont Singapore (excellent views of Turn 7) and Swissotel The Stamford (overlooking Turn 9 and Padang, so some rooms also offer views of the headline concerts).
It’s worth noting that even if you don’t secure a track-facing room at one of the hotels listed above, most hotels have ‘club lounges’ or bars and restaurants on higher levels with track views. The pool deck at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach also has excellent views of the track!
Occupying a unique position overlooking the Turn 13 hairpin, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore is another excellent option for track-view rooms. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, The Fullerton is an excellent choice for race weekend.
Finally, Singapore’s iconic architectural landmark, Marina Bay Sands, offers three towers connected by an incredible rooftop infinity pool. Rooms facing the front of the property in Tower 3 have the best views of the circuit, though they are much more distant than the hotels listed above. The top level of all three towers is also home to bars and restaurants with great track views; bookings essential on race weekend! (also look out for special ticketed events).
More details about the best trackside rooms in Singapore can be found by clicking on the button below and reading our detailed Accommodation guide. This year’s Singapore Grand Prix takes place from October 9-11.
Las Vegas Strip Circuit: Las Vegas Grand Prix
The most recent street circuit to join the F1 calendar is the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, which has hosted the Las Vegas Grand Prix since 2023. And just like the Singapore Grand Prix, all the on-track action takes place after dark.
Given that the circuit races along the famous Las Vegas Strip and through downtown Las Vegas, several hotels do offer direct views of the circuit from selected rooms. Compared to the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore however, trackside hotels in Las Vegas are often further from the action and also situated on straights, rather than overlooking corners.
Another downside of trackside hotels in Las Vegas is that few rooms have balconies, and the late-night temperatures are a lot lower than in tropical Singapore! As always, rooms on higher floors generally have better, more panoramic views with less chance of obstructions. If you are planning a trip to the Las Vegas Grand Prix, here’s the hotels that offer track-view rooms.

The Platinum Hotel offers strip-facing rooms with direct views of the track between Turns 4-5 (as well as excellent views of the Sphere), while selected rooms at the Wynn Las Vegas offer views of the cars passing down Sands Avenue between Turns 10-12. From the other side of the street, Palace View rooms at The Palazzo at the Venetian Resort offer similar views.
As well as being home to the Fountain Club hospitality suite, the Bellagio offers certain room types with views of the long straight between Turns 13-14. The Cosmopolitan next door and Paris Las Vegas (Versailles Tower) across the road offers similar views. Several hotels offer views of the final sector of the circuit, notably Tower 3 of the Signature at MGM Grand and Hilton Club Elara Las Vegas.
The above listed hotels have rooms with the best views of the track, but you can also find partial or distant-view rooms at Planet Hollywood, Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and Treasure Island.
More information about the room categories with track views at the above listed hotels can be found by clicking the button below. The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place from November 19-21 (Thursday to Saturday).
Yas Marina Circuit: Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The only twilight race on the Formula 1 calendar has held the honor of staging the final race of the season almost every year since 2009. Yas Marina Circuit is the centerpiece of the massive Yas Island development, which comprises theme parks, concert venues, shopping malls, golf courses and hotels.
The most famous hotel of all is the iconic W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, which is integrated into the circuit itself. The W Abu Dhabi comprises two 12-storey towers, one set inside Yas Marina circuit and one in Yas Marina, which are linked by a steel and glass bridge spanning the track between Turns 13 and 14. Rooms in the ‘Spectacular Guest Room’ category feature private balconies with the best views of the track, while rooms with sunset or marina views are in the ‘Marvelous Room’ and ‘Wonderful Room’ categories. Expect significant noise when the cars are on the track, and if you are facing the marina, the all-night yacht parties on race weekend have also been known to cause sleepless nights.
The good news is that you don’t necessarily have to sleep at the W Hotel Abu Dhabi on race weekend, though it’s a great place to visit on non-race weekends. Arguably the best combination of luxury and convenience can be found in the group of six hotels adjacent to the circuit and only 5-10 minutes walk from the pits and paddock. Some rooms at the Yas Plaza Mangroves (previously Radisson Blu) offer circuit views, while other recommended hotels here – without circuit views – include the Staybridge Suites, Yas Plaza Circuit and Yas Plaza Marina. Nearby and also within a short walk of the circuit is the newer Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island.
More recommendations on the best places to stay for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix can be found in our Accommodation guide, linked below. The 2026 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is scheduled from December 4-6.
Algarve International Circuit: Portuguese Grand Prix
Portugal makes a welcome return to the F1 calendar next year at the Algarve International Circuit, also known as Portimão, the name of the closest major town on the nearby Atlantic coast. Located in rolling hills in the picturesque and touristy region of the Algarve, it will join Spa-Francorchamps and the Red Bull Ring at the top of the list of the most isolated circuits that Formula 1 currently visits.
Whilst most Portuguese Grand Prix attendees will stay at one of the tourist towns along the coast (Portimão, Lagos, Albufeira, Faro, amongst others), a select few will be able to stay a stone’s throw away in the 5-star Algarve Race Resort – Hotel or adjoining Algarve Race Resort – Apartments.
Opened in 2016 (eight years after the nearby circuit), the Algarve Race Resort Hotel is a 75-room hotel and resort complex with an on-site spa and restaurant, and indoor and outdoor pools. Next door, you’ll find 160 apartments, mainly with one or two bedrooms. Many of these will be available for rent on race weekend.
Unfortunately, finding a room or apartment on race weekend won’t be easy or cheap, as this is the only available accommodation within close proximity to the Algarve International Circuit. On non-race weekends, you can expect to pay €150-200 per night for a double room at the hotel and as little as €100-150 per night for an apartment. Expect multiples of this for the weekend of the 2026 Portuguese Grand Prix!
For more recommendations about the best places to stay for the Portuguese Grand Prix, including Lagos and Portimão, read our Accommodation guide. Dates have not yet been announced for the 2027 Portuguese Grand Prix.
