Round 3 tee times: What we know
All players need to finish Friday’s second round before Saturday tee times for the 2026 U.S. Open can be determined. Once Round 2 is complete, the cut will be made, with about half of the field heading home early. The survivors will play on to continue fighting for the U.S. Open trophy over the final two rounds.
We won’t know the official tee times until after the final putt drops Friday night, but there are a few things we do know. First, players will tee off in pairings for Saturday’s third round, with everyone starting off the 1st tee.
Additionally, Round 3 tee times will be based on leaderboard position, with the leaders occupying the final pairing and starting late in the afternoon. The players at the bottom of the leaderboard after the cut will tee off first Saturday morning.
We can look to the past to get a better idea of what this year’s tee times will be. On Saturday at last year’s U.S. Open, J.J. Spaun and Sam Burns teed off in the final pairing at 3:35 p.m. ET. The first pairing of the day opened Saturday’s action at 9:12 a.m. ET.
You can expect Saturday tee times at the 2026 U.S. Open to similarly fall between 8:30 a.m. ET and 4 p.m. ET.
You can watch Saturday’s third round of the U.S. Open from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. ET on USA and then 12-8 p.m. ET on NBC. You can also stream featured group coverage online via Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA App starting on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. ET. Peacock will provide a live stream of NBC’s Saturday TV coverage.
