What is a Slice? A “slice” is a golf shot where the ball curves dramatically in flight from left to right (for a right-handed golfer). The slice can be played intentionally, but is usually the result of a mishit.
What causes It?A slice happens when the clubface is open relative to the swing path, sending the ball curving off to the right. It’s one of the most common swing faults—and one of the most fixable.
