Art of War Cage Fighting’s AOW 42 is going down this Saturday night, June 14th at Valley Forge Casino (PA) and this fight card is as deep with talent as I can ever remember.  AOW President Mike Bickings, and matchmaker Jillian Peterson have loaded this event with all kinds of talent at different stages of their career. Four championship belts will be awarded as the main event will cap it off as defending 145 lb champion, Matt “White Chocolate” Turnbull welcomes Long Island MMA’s John “the Don” Caldone.  In the co-main event, BMO, Ben Moser makes his long-awaited return to the cage as he takes on “Stone Cold” Steve Parsons.

In a battle of studly 1-0 flyweights, Bryce Layme tangles with Brandon Bohannan. Eman Hardy deserves some respect as he finally is making his professional debut with the caveat that his opponent is 2-0 with 2 first round finishes.  This should be interesting as Miguel Barrientos is coming east from Denver, Colorado to try and ruin the party.  Barrientos’s teammate and main training partner, Tommy “the Felon” Lozano will travel with his buddy and also go to work as he and “Gunsmoke” Jay Watson will do battle for the lightweight crown.

Francis Trivelli is dropping down to 135 lbs and Juwan Gonzales will be waiting for him as they will also collide with a belt on the line.  Gonzales has 4 other teammates from Marquez MMA on the card with him including Watson. Kayne Caplinger once again proves what a savage he is as he just took a short notice fight against the 3-0 very impressive so far Donnie Broomell.

I stopped over to the Dojo of “Korean Thunder” Ryan Kim Cafaro to preview the card and see what my commentating partner thought.  We were in agreement. Ryan says…

This card is as stacked as I can ever remember.  Mike Bickings has just been doing a phenomenal job show after show.  This is going to be a great one!

The story of the fighter is what Bob loves about the sport. From the lowest level, to the highest, he only cares about the two warriors who do battle once the cage doors close. Everything else is secondary. Without their blood, sweat, and tears, he would not be here enjoying every minute.
