Canelo Alvarez and William Scull will showcase their skills later today (Weds., April 30, 2025) for the media open workouts, held just a few days ahead of their super middleweight title fight on Sat. night (May 3) inside ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, streaming live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV).

Canelo, the current WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight champion will have to get by Scull, the current IBF super middleweight champion, if he wants to secure a planned super fight against Terrance Crawford this September.
“I’m very excited,” Alvarez told DAZN about fighting in Riyadh. “It’s one of my dreams, fighting in another country, and now I’m close to it. It makes me feel excited and motivated. Here, in Riyadh, they treat me like I do at home, so I feel good. I feel the love. I have had two weeks here already. They treat me like a king.”
“Sometimes it is different, but they treat me really good and I appreciate that,” Alvarez added. “It’s very important [to become undisputed again] because I want to be the first and only one. Boxing is my life professionally. My family is everything. I motivate myself, because I love boxing, but my family, I try to put them apart. They are special, very special.”
