Dana White shares first response to Tom Aspinall signing with Eddie Hearn

Dana White has shared an unusual response to Eddie Hearn’s new management deal with Tom Aspinall.

White and Hearn have been landing blows as their rivalry has significantly intensified over recent weeks. In response to Zuffa Boxing poaching one of his most prized assets in Conor Benn, Hearn sought out UFC heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, and made him Matchoom Talent Agency’s first official athlete.

Tensions have been high between the two promoters, and the news of Aspinall signing with the enemy was not expected to go down well. While understandably not thrilled with the reveal, Dana White wasn’t as fazed as many would have believed.

“We don’t have any issues with Eddie,” White said in response to the news of Hearn’s new partnership with Aspinall. “They can get whoever they want to represent them.”

Dana White played down his feud with Hearn, insisting he isn’t too bothered about who any of the fighters under the UFC or Zuffa Boxing banners have as their representation.

Tom Aspinall’s relationship with the company over recent years has soured. Issues between the two escalated following the underwhelming outcome of UFC 321, and those problems have seemingly worsened over time. Aspinall’s decision to sign with Hearn likely shows where his loyalty lies, and the consensus is that his future inside the octagon will not extend past his current contract.

In over 25 years with the UFC, White has had to deal with countless people he isn’t fond of. Several fighters and managers have gotten under the 56-year-old’s skin during his time at the helm. Public disputes and fallouts have been common with White, and rather unsurprisingly, Eddie Hearn wouldn’t come close to the top of his most-hated list.

“Tito Ortiz used to represent people, and we got it done,” Dana continued.
