A fun Lightweight matchup has been added to UFC Vegas 106.
MMAMania.com confirmed with multiple sources today that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Brazilian newcomer Matheus Camilo will make his debut against Gabe Green at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, 2025, inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Camilo (9-2) snagged Dorobshokh Nabotov’s UFC contract away from him late last year by going to South Korea and defeating him via unanimous decision. If you remember, Nabotov was a then-undefeated fighter from Tajikistan who decided to shoot his shot at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White during UFC 308’s pre-fight press conference for a contract.
The 24-year-old top prospect is riding a six-fight win streak, with four wins coming by finish. He holds a 66% finish rate with four knockouts and two submissions.

Green (11-5) has been sidelined since suffering a 14-second knockout loss to Bryan Battle at UFC Charlotte 22 months ago (watch highlights). By the time his upcoming fight arrives, it will mark two full years since his last appearance in the cage.
Currently on a two-fight losing streak, “Gifted” is set to return to Lightweight following a five-fight stint at Welterweight. The 31-year-old holds a 2-3 record inside the Octagon.
With the addition of this exciting matchup, UFC Vegas 106 currently looks like this:

Carlos Hernandez vs. Park Hyun-sung
