Former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones issued a statement on Tuesday after Albuquerque prosecutors dropped all charges against him stemming from a February alleged hit-and-run incident.

Jones thanked the district attorney’s office for their work and vindication.

Jones, 38, vacated the UFC heavyweight championship and retired in June. He almost immediately came out of retirement and re-entered the UFC anti-doping testing pool in hopes of competing on the UFC event at the White House. UFC CEO Dana White all but closed the door on Jones fighting on the historic fight card.
