Chris Curtis has reacted to his UFC Vegas 114 loss against Myktybek Orolbai. The Curtis vs. Orolbai bout was a one-sided affair, in which the fighter from Kyrgyzstan scored 19 takedowns, landed a total of 83 strikes, and had a control time of more than 12 minutes.

Curtis had no answer to Orolbai’s superior grappling game and suffocating pressure. The 38-year-old was repeatedly dragged to the mat on multiple occasions, as Orolbai completed one takedown after another with ease.

After the 15-minute snooze fest, Orolbai cruised to a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Myktybek Orolbai scored 19 takedowns at UFC Vegas 114, as mentioned before, which is the most takedowns in a UFC welterweight contest to date.

The 28-year-old now sits 3rd on the UFC’s list of most takedowns scored in a single fight. Khabib Nurmagomedov tops the list with 21 takedowns. In the 2nd spot is former UFC bantamweight champ Merab Dvalishvili, who scored 20 takedowns last year against Cory Sandhagen.

After getting purely dominated by Myktybek Orolbai, Chris Curtis vented his frustration on social media. He posted on Facebook:

“Well, that was as fun as a wet fart in church. Sorry guys. Physical therapy went well. My knee held up. I had a great camp. No excuses. Just a sh*t night and a sh*t fight. Man had really good grip strength, and it’s incredibly hard to fight a man that has no intention of being in a fight. Got some thinking to do and some stuff to figure out. But I walked out with no Physical damage at all, just my pride really hurt. Thanks for the love and support. We’ll see where we go from here. #NOTDEADYET”

Curtis has lost 3 of his last 4 outings. On the other hand, after beating “Action-Man” earlier tonight, Myktybek Orolbai is now riding a 3-fight win streak and is already 5-1 in the UFC.

What should be next for Myktybek Orolbai? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
