Continuing his back-and-forth with Conor McGregor and keeping the hype for their rumored clash alive, Michael Chandler has teased an appearance on the UFC White House show.
All has seemingly gone quiet on the UFC White House front in recent months. The card has lofty expectations on its shoulders, with Dana White, Donald Trump, and several fighters building it up as the biggest event in company history.
Some of the most significant names in the sport have been lining up to be handed a spot on the card. Of all the fighters hoping to be given the opportunity to fight on the White House lawn, the return of Conor McGregor looks the most likely.
McGregor has been away from competition since breaking his leg in 2021. Since then, aside from a canceled bout against Chandler, the Irishman hasn’t had much success in returning to the octagon, until now.
Following the announcement of the UFC White House card, Conor McGregor has been the name most closely linked to the event. Many believe ‘The Notorious’ will be standing across the cage from Michael Chandler on the night, and Chandler is doing his best to make sure that happens.
“I will say, it’s going to be a big year,” Chandler said about the UFC’s near future. “Number one, like you said, the UFC is now on Paramount Plus. [For] the entire year, for the entire multitude of years.”

“So, there’s a rumor going around. We can’t confirm or deny it, but it does sound like I might be handing Conor McGregor a good, old-fashioned, passionate, red, white, and blue butt whooping on the south lawn of the White House sometime this summer, and that’s the plan. Let’s go.”
