Could Nate Diaz be about to make a UFC return? The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner and former UFC lightweight title challenger teased an octagon return on Wednesday via social media.

“Let’s not act like I didn’t start a whole division bringing value to all these guys claiming they’re it. I gave opportunity and put notice on the dopest fights,” Diaz wrote on X. “I got unfinished business and I plan on going and taking what’s mine asap 1st to ever start a division and the dopest one at that Your welcome motherf*ckers I’ll see you soon I’m coming.”

Diaz last fought in mixed martial arts at UFC 279 in September 2022 defeating Tony Ferguson via submission. He left the UFC and entered boxing. In August 2023, Diaz faced Jake Paul in a boxing match and lost by unanimous decision. In July 2024, he faced Jorge Masvidal inside the squared circle.

The Masvidal boxing match was a rematch. Diaz and Masvidal fought for the inaugural BMF belt at UFC 244 in November 2019. Masvidal defeated Diaz due to doctor stoppage to become the first BMF champion. In the rematch, inside the boxing ring, Diaz got his revenge defeating Masvidal via majority decision.
