Rumors have been circulating about Nate Diaz and Jake Shields’ abrupt departure from the Russian reality television show version of The Ultimate Fighter.
Jake Shields walks through exclusive footage and explains what exactly happened when they got to Thailand.
The below video Shields provided shows a Russian fighter speaking to UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones who was filming along with Diaz. It appears that the fighter tries to grab Diaz and Diaz immediately shrugs him off.
“Nate went and slapped him,” Shields said. From there, it gets ugly.
Both Diaz and Shields have returned to the United States and will not return for filming.
