Ronda Rousey shows off body transformation six months after giving birth

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been posting workout videos to her social media as she regains her physique after giving birth to her second daughter in January.

The transformation is impressive. Rousey attributes training mixed martial arts again for ‘making a huge difference’ in her physical journey back from childbirth just six months ago.

“Here’s a little update on how the post baby recovery is going. Thank you @dangarnernutrition for helping me reclaim my bodily identity from my 2nd pregnancy. Thank you @rickylundell @babyfacebenoit @abletowill and @aj_mma for gettin my ass back in a cage again,” Rousey wrote on Instagram.

“Please reserve your judgement for my messy room and smeared mirror, I just had a baby and am too tired to clean that sh*t up.

“I’ve heard recovery for the 2nd baby is easier than the first so maybe it’s partially due to that, but being able to train MMA again made such a huge difference this time – like my joints feel tighter and I just feel healthier and more sturdy compared to just doing regular gym lifting/cardio workouts like I did to recover from my first pregnancy,” continued Rousey.

“It’s been a blast finding joy in training again, I missed it, my body missed it.”

In November 2012, Rousey signed with the UFC and would soon become a household name. She was the first female fighter signed by the fight promotion. Rousey successfully defended the bantamweight championship six times. She became the first female fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2018.

Rousey retired from fighting in 2016 following her UFC 207 loss to Amanda Nunes. After hanging up the gloves, she signed a deal with the WWE and became the female face of the professional wrestling organization.
