The iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City hosts UFC 322: Della Maddalena vs. Makhavhev on Nov. 15. It will be the fight promotion’s 12th event in “The Big Apple.”
The fight card is headlined by two world title bouts. In the main event, former lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev moves up to the welterweight division to challenge champion Jack Della Maddalena in a quest to become a two-division UFC champion.
One of the longest active UFC winning streaks will come to an end. Makhachev enters the fight riding a 15-fight winning streak. His only career defeat came a decade ago. Della Maddalena brings with him an 18-fight winning streak to the octagon. It’s been nine years since “JDM” felt a loss.
The co-main event features another champion moving up a division chasing double-champ status. Former women’s strawweight titleholderZhang Weili takes on flyweight great Valentina Shevchenko.
