The Noche UFC card flew under the radar this weekend as it fell to second after the Canelo vs. Crawford boxing fight, but the main event of the UFC event did not fail to deliver to the UFC fans in attendance and around the world.
Diego Lopes and Jean Silva battled it out in a fight that held heavy implications for both men. Lopes was looking to prove he’s still worthy of title talk after losing his first attempt at the featherweight title in April. Silva, undefeated in the UFC, was looking to prove he’s as good as we all think he is as he looked for his biggest win to date.
But tonight was Lopes’ night and he secured a second round TKO after landing a massive elbow and crumpling the Fighting Nerds fighter.
