Heavyweight Brand Pericic made his octagon debut on Saturday on the UFC Perth undercard. He faced Elisha Ellison in the second fight of the night, but left an impression.
Pericic knocked Ellison out in just under two minutes extending his winning streak and earning a much needed bonus.
“The last eight years I’ve been sleeping in cars, sleeping in gyms. This is my life. No one was going to beat me tonight,” Pericic said moments after his knockout win.
“I took out a $100K loan to come work for this company. So, if I get a bonus tonight, maybe I can pay half of it,” he continued.
Pericic did get a bonus and banked an extra $50,000 for his first-round knockout.
